Kotelett, known as one half of the dynamic house duo Kotelett & Zadak, has established a strong presence in the music scene with notable releases on renowned labels such as Katermukke, Selador, and Natura Viva. However, for his latest single, Kotelett ventures into solo territory, releasing a track on Poker Flat Recordings.
Titled “I Don’t Know,” this track initially embraces a brooding and polished deep house sound. Yet, it undergoes a transformative journey, gradually incorporating snippets of vocals and triumphant piano chords that elevate it into a euphoric and energizing anthem destined to fill dancefloors with joy.
“This started life as just a fun jam when I couldn’t get on with another remix. But the fun of the nineties piano chords finally got me to put my hands up in the studio, and convinced me to finish it. The vocal would have been a taboo for me for a long time, now it really gets into me! It’s always a nice feeling when you can leave your old belief at the roadside”.
