About the selection

Listen to Heavy Signal

Heavy Signal focuses on the low-frequency end of electronic music: dub-influenced space, broken rhythms, sparse percussion and inventive sound-system production.

The selections move through experimental dubstep, halftime and other bass-led approaches. Rhythm and weight are important, but the most interesting recordings leave plenty of room for texture and unexpected detail.
