Woven Talon - Guri - Frequency State

Woven Talon is the work of Andrew Tumason, a Californian-born, classically trained musician who’s now resident in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His work often focusses on cinematic arrangements creating soundscapes using piano, guitar, vocals and percussion. He uses as ancient cultures, landscapes and stories as a way to inspire his music.

Under the umbrella of Woven Talon, Andrew Tumason has created various musical projects. Each album features a different group of musicians bringing a distinct character to the work. The Talon releases link to the Kahu Takaya story, which describes animals called into a dream landscape on a journey to awaken their forgotten songs and heal their lost connection with their kin.

All of this brings us to Hajiko, Andrew’s third Woven Talon release, which was recorded deep in the jungle in Byron Bay, Australia, featuring Australian artists Djulz Chambers on percussion, Cye Wood on violin, Brandon Cassidy on “wooden machines” and Christian Pyle on analog electronics.
