The name itself stems from a serendipitous moment when someone mispronounced Winston’s middle name, Van Meter.

Winston’s musical career began as a bass player for singer-songwriter Gabe Dixon after graduating from music school. While touring for many years, he discovered his passion for creating ambient music, finding freedom in its open structure and infinite sonic possibilities. Influenced by the mind-opening album “Music For Airports” by Brian Eno, Winston embraced ambient music as a meditative form of artistic expression.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences that defy easy expression, Veinmelter’s music combines mesmeric and cinematic elements with ambient textures. Winston’s sweet and vulnerable voice delicately weaves through the sonic landscapes, expressing emotions that often elude words.
