For their latest single ‘Coherence,’ the enigmatic multidisciplinary creative collective Sagans used artificial intelligence technology to produce an otherworldly Blade Runner-esque music video. It’s visuals are matched wonderfully to the slightly whirring synths and beats to create an a lot engaging audio-visual experience.
Using artificial intelligence, Sagans creates music and visuals with it’s team of musicians, graphic designers, and AI researchers. The group was formed in 2022 and consists of members from all over the world. Dedicated to creating music and visuals that are truly unique and expressive, the AI Collective believes artificial intelligence is the key to unlocking new creative possibilities.
The video was created using artificial intelligence technology, Open AI GPT-3 and Codex to create an evolving alternate metaverse.
The first video is called ‘Coherence’ and it is about a city that is constantly changing and evolving. The video shows how the city changes over time, and how the character gets lost and adapts to the changes. The video is a mix of different styles using the latest AI algorithms, some latent diffusions but also using a neural-style transfer algorithm, similar to the algorithm used to create the ‘DeepDream’ images. It’s really interesting to see how the AI collective was able to create something so unique, definitely an interesting take on the cyberpunk genre.
