It’s a wonderful ambient sound, with orchestral overtones, the occasional jazz-leaning harmony creeping in, and enough electronic treatment to keep you engaged in more than just the composition. We liked it enough to put it to the top of our ambient Spotify playlist.

Koch’s Foam and Sand project was a result of the pandemic, from which he had to change his touring plans, and made a decision to create a series of reworks of his Next Billion Years album. You can watch a short documentary on the project below…
