Ishmael Cormack is a sound artist from Somerset in the South West of the UK. He creates ambient soundscapes using found sound recordings, weaving them into delightful sonic textures, mirroring, reflecting and transforming his environment.
Earlier this year he released an EP called ‘Many Wild Things’, which incorporates recordings of a church piano with toy keyboards, guitar and ‘dried seeds’. It’s a wonderful release and well worth immersing yourself in. Here’s a track called Critter, to whet your appetite…
