Recorded in Copenhagen’s Thorvaldsens Museum, the acoustics of the building become an important part of the sound. Notes hang in the room after they are played, allowing the piano and saxophone to overlap and interact through their long reverberant tails.
Vocals arrive later and are subtly processed, blending into the surrounding ambience rather than taking over as a conventional lead. The treatment gives the voice a soft, textural quality that sits naturally alongside the piano and saxophone.
