Beginning with some S&H shenanigans this quickly turns into Aphex Twin acid territory, with a crazy bassline reminiscent of Squarepusher. It’s a crazy, glitchy vibe which chills out a little later. There’s some interesting vocal glitches to reintroduce the earlier madness and take us to the end, where we take a breath and have a quiet moment to reflect…
Written, produced, mixed, and mastered by Griffin Wolf. Here’s what he has to say about the track…
The bassline for this track was randomly generated (within parameters that I set). I took the MIDI data of a longer recording and spliced it all together to make the finished bassline you hear.
Oh yea, shoutout to Bad Self Portraits for letting me sample their track “Coffee Song”. I heard them play that live and instantly knew I had to do something with it. Ingrid and Jesse are beautiful singers and their harmonies are angelic, so blessed they let me use the sample on my track <3.
On every song I try to do something different, even if it’s a really small thing, but on this track I tried so many different things and experimented so much. To me this the standout track. Harmonically, sonically, structurally, and rhythmically, this is the most complete electronic track I’ve ever made. Thank you for listening to my silly little album. I hope it meant something to you
