As percussive elements are introduced, the track gains momentum, with subtle drum rhythms building upon the progression, creating an engaging and immersive vibe. “Silence” is peaceful yet carries a downtempo momentum, inviting listeners into a meditative state.
“Breathe” by Nawid Salimkhani starts with breathy, almost glassy textured synth elements that set a serene tone. Guitar melodies soon enter, adding a melodic focus reinforced by synth pads that contribute to the track’s rich texture. This composition feels like a soundtrack, building to a downtempo groove that gently propels the track forward without overpowering it. The result is a beautifully layered piece that evokes a sense of calm and reflection.
Both tracks are part of an EP dedicated to the sea, capturing the tranquil and reflective essence of being by the ocean. Nawid Salimkhani explains, “I’m rarely at the sea, but when I get there I feel like my thoughts and worries go away with every breath. It’s like finding peace while breathing and bathing in nature: feeling the wind on my skin, listening to the waves and birds, and smelling the salt breeze. But at some point, there is this moment where my thoughts come back, because the silence is too much. Then I need to focus more on where I am now, watching the sea, perceiving how it ebbs and flows.”
