Steven Weston & Farsi: A Harmonious Fusion in "Paradise Lie" Remix

Steven Weston, the Grammy-nominated artist, producer, and engineer, teams up with breakbeat producer Farsi for a captivating collaboration in “Paradise Lie (Farsi Remix).” This entrancing track is part of Steven Weston’s EP “Melt Air,” scheduled for release via Blank Dust on the 7th of October.

The musical journey begins with laid-back yet driving kick drum hits, setting a compelling atmosphere for the synth melodies and gated synths to gracefully glide over mellow pads. The track gently drifts, creating a sense of relaxation during the breakdown before resurging with renewed energy, leading listeners to a satisfying conclusion.

With just over a year since the release of his debut EP “Blank Dust,” Steven Weston has received significant support from acclaimed artists such as John Digweed, Jody Wisternoff, Qrion, Lane 8, Yotto, Hernan Cattaneo, and Camel Phat. Notably, Sasha, a prominent figure in the industry, signed Steven’s track “Liquid” for his record label, Last Night On Earth. His recent EP “Alter The Flow” on Anjunadeep features impressive singles like ‘Like I Used To’ with Låpsley, ‘Lighter Than Love’ with RHODES, and ‘One More Time’ with Taė.

Hailing from Portsmouth, Steven Weston’s musical journey started when he learned to play the organ at the age of 11. However, his early fascination with electronic music led him to exchange the organ for turntables and a CDJ. At 18, he ventured to Spain, where he became a resident DJ on the Murcia Coast, igniting his globetrotting musical pursuits. Over the years, Steven has toured the world, playing keyboards and serving as Music Director for esteemed artists such as Sad Night Dynamite, Ladyhawke, Charli XCX, and Mikky Ekko. He also played a pivotal role as the first and lead bass player in The KLF’s side project, Badger Kull.

A seasoned engineer, Steven honed his skills at Metropolis and Strongroom before spending three years at Major Toms in Hoxton, where he served as studio engineer for Rudimental, contributing to their 3rd studio album. In recent times, Steven has been actively collaborating with James Lavelle’s UNKLE, further showcasing his versatility and talent across different musical landscapes.
