Plant Skull is the work of Anna Feldman, a producer, singer and songwriter based in Brooklyn. She’s just released an album of ambient music created over a three year period, between 2019-2021.
The album is composed of 7-tracks and comes in at just over 17 minutes. It’s a lovely ambient collection of tracks, here’s a good selection of what’s involved…
Here’s neveah, there’s some definite Enya vibes going on here, with some lovely warm synth vibes underpinning some etheareal vocals. It’s got an evolving structure too, taking us on an evolving journey through a magical soundscape…
Elf is a short track, with some organs underpinning sounds that conjure images of an Amazonian rainforest. It’s lovely though, with a few synth effects punctuating through the mix to add some electronic interest to proceedings…
1212 begins with some organ and a processed vocal that creates an organic feeling, yet with digital sources, it’s definitely a spacey kind of tune, I can imagine this as a long intro to an Ozric Tentacles kind of tune…
And here’s Gabriel, beginning with a natural ambience, complemented by synth pads and a lovely vocal, this one develops over five and a half minutes, adding additional layers and textures to create a serene aural landscape…
And I’ll leave you with Mirror, this one’s a little darker, with more tension evident in the vocal melodies, and a moody synth underpinning the lead sounds…
