Luc Cianfarani – The Noise of Time

Luc Cianfarani is a New York City-based composer who writes ethereal and texturally rich electronic music. His music pushes the boundaries of the IDM and Glitch genres – immersing his listeners in waves of noise, bass, and heavily manipulated acoustic instruments. He’s an active musician and composer, with music for film and theatre, as well as producer and performer on his CV.

“The Noise of Time” is a piece written for a cross-disciplinary collaboration titled “Synesthete” between Luc, and the Dutch expressionist painter Pierre van Dijk. Through the creation of new paintings and pieces of music, the collaboration explores how people perceive these two mediums in an interconnected way.

Musically it’s an exciting track, fusing sounds that are both electronic and traditional, with some great piano work and an intensity that reminds me of John Carpenter. Check it out below…
