JP Coimbra – Les Enfants: Cinematic Elegance and Reflective Electronic Atmospheres

Les Enfants opens with gentle melodic layers and softly shifting harmonies, building into a smooth electronic groove that carries both warmth and precision. The vocals flow gracefully, while synth textures and piano interlace to create a lush, cinematic soundscape. The track moves between moments of stillness and motion, drawing the listener into a reflective space shaped by subtle electronic production and organic musical phrasing.

Inspired by Seurat’s painting Bathers at Asnières, Les Enfants captures a contemplative mood — an invitation, as JP Coimbra describes, “to slow down and breathe in the moment.” The single builds on his exploration of texture and timbre, merging electronic production with classical influences to create a timeless sound.

Produced alongside Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins, Anohni), Les Enfants is taken from Coimbra’s upcoming album Revealing, out 17 October 2025 via Klang Technik. The record continues Coimbra’s fascination with technology, emotion, and human experience, weaving piano, synthesizers, and analog processing into evocative, layered compositions.

A celebrated figure in Portuguese music, JP Coimbra first gained recognition as one-half of the cross-genre duo MESA, whose debut album earned praise from Billboard and several European outlets. Beyond his solo work, Coimbra has composed for film, theatre, and television, collaborated with major labels, and released his debut solo album VIBRA in 2020 on Cognitive Shift — featuring remixes by Matthew Herbert and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. His latest work reaffirms his position as a boundary-pushing composer blending innovation, emotion, and sound design.
