“At Bay” envelops listeners in warm textures that ebb and flow, creating a captivating auditory journey. The track evolves organically, with different tones and sounds emerging and fading away, reminiscent of the ever-changing nature of our surroundings.
Drawing inspiration from her experiences of late-night walks through Sydney bays and country towns in regional New South Wales, Maddy Briggs breathes life into her sonic material. Through the recycling of organ and piano recordings originally used in a film score, she constructs a lush and immersive sound world, distinct from its original context.
