HERNE’s debut single CAESIUM introduces a sound that draws from trance, ambient, and contemporary classical influences. The track opens with atmospheric textures, gradually layering synths and orchestral elements that evolve into a pulsating, rhythm-driven composition. As it develops, CAESIUM builds momentum through looping motifs and a growing sense of forward movement, combining harmonic shifts with a strong rhythmic core.
The project is the work of Marcus Herne, a composer, producer, and sound artist with previous releases including the EP FORMS and the 88 series for Piano Day. He has also contributed music to various film, art, and commercial projects. With HERNE, the focus shifts towards the physicality of sound and its impact in spatial and performative contexts.
CAESIUM presents a carefully constructed balance between club-influenced energy and immersive sound design. It explores familiar sonic materials through a restructured lens—placing emphasis on build, repetition, and dynamic texture without relying on traditional song structures. The result is a track that feels rooted in the dancefloor while also functioning as a standalone audio-visual experience.
This debut marks the beginning of the HERNE project, with further releases and live performances planned later in the year.
