After cutting his teeth in the Midwestern punk and emo scene, Southeast Michigan artist Grant Boss has taken his music into a new direction with his electronic music. Inspired by IDM, music concrète, and bass culture, Grant creates relentless, pounding polyrhythms that wash over the listener while drones and atmospherics create a contrasting ambient mood.

I tried to go back to my influences with this one, Amon Tobin is huge for me and I feel like that’s channeled through this track. This was all recorded live in one take. I spent a couple weeks trying to get my modular just right for this patch. I’m glad the record button was armed because this performance came out of no where.
