New York City-based artist Dorvin Borman is making a return after a two-year hiatus with his latest single, “Stop Wasting Time.” This lo-fi house-inspired track kicks off with a gentle vibe, anchored by a solid kick and bouncy percussion. Effected vocals gracefully drift over the mix, while loft percussion intermittently punctuates the soundscape. Synth elements introduce additional texture, slowly but surely building and shaping the track into a cohesive and pleasant whole.
“Stop Wasting Time” encapsulates Borman’s signature dreampop sound, taking it into the realms of psychedelic, indie-electronica, and ambient soundscapes. It’s a refreshing departure from his previous work and showcases his versatility as an artist.
Dorvin Borman has had notable recognition in the past, with features on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist, the David Dean Burkhart YouTube channel, BIRP!, and more. With the release of “Stop Wasting Time,” he plans to engage in extensive press and playlist outreach and promotion. Additionally, he hints at more songs and releases in the pipeline for the months to come.
