Bodywash’s ‘Kind of Light’ Gets a Downtempo Transformation by Khotin

The “Kind of Light” remix by Canadian electronic artist Khotin introduces a mellow, downtempo vibe that evokes the essence of 90’s chill-out music. From the start, the track grooves along with a laid-back rhythm, creating an engaging soundscape where sounds bounce around, drawing the listener into its soothing atmosphere. Khotin’s instrumental take transforms the original into a serene journey, perfect for unwinding and introspective moments.

Bodywash, the alternative indie/shoegaze band from Montreal, consists of Chris Steward and Rosie Long Decter, who met in college in 2014. Initially coming from different musical backgrounds—Steward with his love for celestial dream pop from London and Long Decter with her Toronto-rooted folk and Canadiana—the duo gradually blended their influences to craft a distinctive sound. Their music features airy vocals, intricate guitar work, and pulsating synths, first showcased in their debut EP in 2016 and their full-length album “Comforter” in 2019.
