Love Your Creator
“Love Your Creator” opens with a mellow guitar arpeggio and soft piano melodies that immediately set a reflective mood. There’s something in the phrasing and atmosphere that recalls the smoother side of late 80s pop and soul, while the production keeps things rooted in modern downtempo territory.
When the vocal arrives, it blends naturally into the arrangement. The vocal delivery is smooth and soulful, sitting comfortably amongst the groove while the production keeps a downtempo electronic edge underneath. There’s a relaxed flow to the track, but plenty happening in the details.
Halfway through, the arrangement begins to shift. New textures and rhythmic twists push the track forward while the saxophone continues to add colour around the edges. The groove becomes more rolling in the later sections, carrying the track through to a strong finish.
