We’re delighted to share with you the new video from Swedish electro / new wave / post punk a>m, or Johan Risberg, as he’s also known.
Johan has been actively involved in the Swedish music scene for over 20 years performing both as an electronic musician, and as a drummer as part of the indie band Hell On Wheels. He’s also a DJ, and has successfully running events for countless musicians on the Swedish music scene. He’s released 4 albums so far, and about to release a new solo album – Stay Tuned – Stay Confused.
And so on to his new video, released in advance of the album. The New Sound of Europe, with its analogue textures and driving drum machine loops underpinning a layer of dark, processed vocals conjuring up a texture that delivers me back to the 80’s. The influences of bands like Joy Division, Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle are there, with a hint of Depeche Mode thrown in too I’d say. Anyway, enjoy it below…
