The performance was filmed in Vilnius Combined Heat and Power Plant, ‘Power Plant-3’, a carefully selected location to highlight the core idea of the piece: a struggling human in the noisy modern world. Surrounded by a maze of industrial pipes, lights, and ladders, Monikaze tells the story in 8 tracks each reflecting a different stage of a journey towards the deadline.
These songs were directly inspired by Monikaze‘s personal experiences during the process of artistic creation, and any person who has experienced distractions while tackling a deadline can relate to them. The titles are as follows: “Attention Span”, “Time Robbers”, “Giving Up”, “Food Monster”, “Opinions”, “Www“, “Mind Bubbles in a Microwave”, “It’s Louder”.
Her music does not avoid experimentation, which is inspired by IDM, ambient, electronica, jazz and other styles, where synthetic and acoustic sounds and vocals overlap.
