It’s been a while since I featured anything from the wonderful ambient label that is See Blue Audio, they’ve been busy as always so I thought it was definitely time to let you know what’s been happening…
This post features Micro Wanders, an eight track album from Lyli J, a sound designer, instrumentalist, singer and electronic producer based in Grenoble in France.
Here’s the opening track, A Song For T (Circadas), which beautifully merges some lovely laid back melodies with an ambient that builds over time adding more melodic, music box kind of sounds combined with just the right subtle glitchiness to keep it fresh…
The next track is Onsen, beginning with an arpeggio synth this develops and builds with a pulsating kick a,d other synth pads and textures that almost give it a Selected Ambient Works kind of vibe…
Next up we have Ossicles, with some rhythmic loops building a percussive texture before a vocal melody takes us forward. It’s complemented by melodic fragments that could also be African in nature. A big bass synth then fills things out nicely. It’s a lovely vibe. If there were some big beats over this it would be just like Future Sound of London I reckon…
So I’ll leave you to discover the rest of the release, check it out on Bandcamp. Combining electronics with organic sounds, rooted in nature, it’s a wonderful world to explore…
