The single is the lead track from Erika Dohi’s forthcoming second album Myth of Tomorrow (via Switch Hit & Figureight). Inspired by Taro Okamoto’s mural of the Hiroshima bombing, the record explores catastrophe, resilience, and rebirth, weaving traditional Japanese instruments with the iconic Fairlight CMI and Dohi’s own vocals.
Osaka-born and New York-based, Dohi is an acclaimed pianist and composer, praised by The New York Times as “virtuosic” and Mix Magazine as a “barrier-defying artist.” Her work spans classical training, bold improvisation, and experimental sound design, placing her firmly within New York’s contemporary avant-garde scene.
