David Handler – Sunbled Sky (Kid Koala Remix): Cinematic Ambient Reimagining

Kid Koala’s take on Sunbled Sky begins with a delicate piano motif reminiscent of Satie, surrounded by ambient textures and floating sound fragments. The remix adds cinematic elements—guitars, sub-bass, and stuttering synths—that push the original into a more mysterious, ethereal space. It feels like walking between worlds.

This version is the lead single from Life Like Violence: The Remixes, an album in which various artists rework Handler’s original compositions. In this version, the chamber work is reinterpreted with a sultry, cinematic edge, while retaining emotional nuance and spaciousness.

Handler is a composer, violinist/violist, and cultural entrepreneur (notably cofounder of (Le) Poisson Rouge). His music often balances acoustic and electronic elements, light and shadow, sacred and profane. Kid Koala’s remix adds a fresh dimension to Handler’s world of sound.
