Theme is the first single from RBGxDD, the inaugural release from Uno Loop Records. It’s a collaboration between producer Abderraouf B Grissa and drummer/producer Dan Drohan. Joining them are guitarist Bobbie Johnston, saxophonist Jarrett Gilgore, and keyboardist Kafari.
It’s a great vibe, soulful and funky, with some lovely improvisations, especially for me the sax. The vocal elements work well, moving the track away from a traditional jazz vibe into something quite interesting…
