Releasing on May 10th, “Why” is part of the new EP Answers, which will be available through Nils Frahm’s label LEITER. This release coincides with a physical double release of Answers and Andrews’ previous EP, Doubtless, the latter of which includes the notable collaboration with Nils Frahm on the track “Rules.” Andrews, a producer, vocalist, composer, and performance artist, is renowned for their ability to abstract operatic and extended-technique voice, crafting soundscapes that embody both catharsis and dissonance. Their music frequently explores themes of vulnerability and healing, utilizing voice, clarinet, and electronics to create expansive emotional tapestries.
