“Contour Interval” comes from Doc No’s forthcoming Greenfield Park EP, developed during a period of isolation in a cabin retreat in the Catskills, New York. The track reflects that environment through a focused approach to sound and rhythm, where modular synth textures are allowed to develop naturally.
Doc No is a Brooklyn based modular synthesizer artist known for improvised electronic performances created without DAWs or presets. His work relies on live patching and spontaneous composition, capturing performances directly to tape.
With “Contour Interval,” that process results in a tightly constructed piece where organ harmonies and glitched electronic rhythms combine into a minimal but detailed IDM inspired track.
