Breakbeat and ambient producer ARVØW presents two new remixes that reinterpret his original material through contrasting sonic lenses. Both tracks explore rhythm and texture in distinct ways, with each remixer bringing their own stylistic influences into focus.
Days Pass – Cotton Mouth Remix
Cotton Mouth, known for his work with Sweden’s Year0001 label, takes Days Pass in a fractured, IDM-inspired direction. The track opens with stuttered percussion and glitchy textures, giving the groove a fragmented but deliberate feel. Drum and bass influences emerge subtly through the rhythmic structure, but the energy remains restrained and atmospheric.
Synth harmonies gradually surface, layering with ambient washes and mechanical detailing to create an evolving soundscape. As it develops, there’s a tribal undercurrent to the percussion, while layered synths build tension without veering into harshness.
