Here’s another track from Naessie, who you may remember from a feature back in September. He’s just gone and released another track, this ones an eclectic mix, a little retro in approach, with some great breaks and beats accompanying piano and bass rumbles alongside a 5/4 intro and upbeat melodic ideas…
Here’s what Naessie has to say about the inspiration behind the track…
This song is intended to be a journey. I was inspired heavily by Miyazaki films when writing this. I wanted to convey the feeling of a forest sprite pulling you into the woods and showing you a new, bizarre fantasy world. The dreamy middle section feels like bearing witness to a forest oasis and being enchanted with the experience. The closing sequence is the somber comedown. That moment where you’re being pulled back into reality, a hazy emotional exhaustion where you don’t know what to feel. You don’t want it to end, but you also want to sleep.
